What's our Interior Painting Process?

Here at Dr. Paint we understand and know that you are the reason we are in business. And because you have friends and family that can also turn to us when they need a painter, we go the extra mile to make sure that things are done right, the first time. Anytime we are doing interior painting whether on a residential home or commercial space, we make sure that the process outlined below is followed to the t. When the steps are taken in the order outlined, we make sure that not only the painting comes out right, but also the communication is very well managed. So, if you are looking for a painting contractor that pays attention to the small details in the Daytona Beach, Ormond Beach, Flagler Beach, Palm Coast, and neighboring areas please give us a call to see what we've got to offer.

Step 1: Once the proposal is delivered and the customer decides to move forward, we create a job folder with all the details of the interior painting project.

Step 2: We help the customer pick out colors and once the colors are selected, we fill out a color confirmation form.

Step 3: We call the Friday prior to our arrival date to make sure the customers are fully prepared for the paint job.

Step 4: We arrive at the site, our client's home or business. At that point our Crew Leader will introduce the staff and review the scope of work with you to make sure that both parties are on the same page.

Step 5: Once we have the client's seal of approval, our painters will move all the furniture to the center of the room to then cover with plastic to protect them from damage due to dust, debris and most importantly, paint. They will also cover the flooring with drop clothes.

Step 6: Once the surfaces not scheduled for painting are covered, the team will continue setting up by removing all switch plate covers, as well as hardware in or on the wall.

Step 5: Now the dirty work begins, our team will focus on preparing all of the surfaces. Which includes, but is not limited to thoroughly dusting all surfaces, caulking windows, baseboards & doors, patching holes, sanding, cleaning baseboards and priming where needed.

Step 6: After making sure all surfaces are prepped, we begin painting all the surfaces scheduled for painting according to the scope of work.

Step 7: Once we have finished painting, our Crew Leader will do a thorough walk through with the customer at this point, to confirm everything is up to their standards, sign off the contract as job completed, and collect final payment.

Step 9: Then the team will install all hardware, switch plate covers and wall plates. We will remove all the drop cloths and move furniture back to it's original locations.

Step 10: Last, but not least, when all of our equipment is being loaded back into the work van, a member of our team will focus on making sure the floors and home are in spotless condition.

Step 11: A follow up call will be conducted by our office staff to make sure we have done everything we have promised to your satisfaction.
